Bus Shuttle
While the different locations of the conference are within easy walking distance (except the banquet venue), we will have Stinger shuttles running at regular times to ferry people back and forth. The main bus route is a loop between the Fabulous Fox/Indigo, the dorms (in front of Brittain hall), and the GT-Hotel (right across from TSRB). Arriving from the Airport
The easiest way to get from the airport to the hotels is to take MARTA, Atlanta's public transit system. Be sure to look at the map too.
To Indigo HotelGet off at the North Avenue station (no changeover necessary).
Exit the station on the North Avenue / Peachtree St. side.
Walk north one block on Peachtree St.
Get off at the Midtown station (no changeover necessary)
Exit the station on the Peachstree Place side.
Either turn right on Peachtree Place, then left on West Peachtree St., and walk South three blocks to 5th St.,
or wait for the Tech Trolley just outside the Peachtree Place station exit. It will stop in the GT Hotel courtyard.

The Georgia AquariumThe Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the world, and is amazing to see. Among the most interesting exhibits are the 100ft (30m) long Ocean Voyager tunnel (pictured at right), the 23x61ft (7x19m) viewing window, the beluga whales, and the live coral reef. [ Web site ] |
Fox TheatreThe Fox is an incredible and beautiful theatre, which hosts plays, shows, and movies, including Broadway In Atlanta and the Atlanta Ballet. [ Web site ] Playing during RSS will be: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. |
High Museum"Kings as Collectors", from the Louvre, are currently on display at the High, as part of Louvre Atlanta. Until 2009, the High Museum is the only other place at which you can see the art of the Louvre. [ Web site ] Accessible from the Arts Center MARTA station. |
Woodruff Arts CenterThe Woodruff Arts Center includes The Alliance Theatre, The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and Symphony Hall, and 14th Street Theatre. Performances during RSS include 14th Mouthpiece, Natalie Cole with the ASO, Rick Springfield, Eddie Money, and Scandal with the ASO, and Mary Chapin Carpenter with the ASO. Little Azio ($)Little Azio serves delicious pizza and pasta. With a very nice outdoor patio, which includes a fountain, Little Azio is a great lunch spot. |
Fune ($$)Very good sushi, and during lunch, you can order all-you-can-eat for 11.99. Sushi comes to your table on a conveyer, and RFID tags are used in the plates to control how long they are on the conveyer. |
